We often fall back on old stories and conditioned patterns when under pressure. Common ones sound like: “I’m not good enough” or “I’m not successful enough.” Many stem from childhood or are reinforced by cultural ideals.

When these stories sit outside our awareness, they can drive unconscious self-sabotage—holding back, doubting ourselves, or avoiding commitment. This keeps us in the comfort of what we know.

Self-doubt and imposter syndrome are normal. So what do we do when they appear?

One tool is journalling freely to uncover unconscious stories. Ask:
- Where did I first learn this story?
- Does it serve me to keep it?
- What do I truly want to create?

Bringing these stories to light—through writing or conversation—helps us let go of the old and create space for something new.
